Head of European Sales Strategy

Mantell Associates is collaborating with a prominent global Contract Research Organization (CRO) in their quest for a Senior Director of Business Development to spearhead their European Sales division. This organization boasts a worldwide presence and offers a comprehensive range of services from Research to Manufacturing, aiming to enhance their success across Europe through a proactive, "hunter-oriented" Business Developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Sales, Business Development, and Marketing strategies within the organization.
- Implement a robust suite of sales solutions tailored for clients.
- Contribute to the growth of the organization's business sectors.
- Demonstrate high-level consulting capabilities, working closely with clients to resolve their challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments within client organizations.
- Stay attuned to client needs and identify new opportunities for customized solutions.
- Manage project acquisition and supervise the complete sales cycle.
- Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to create tailored solutions and promote interdepartmental teamwork.
- Engage deeply with the company’s offerings while managing a diverse client portfolio from the outset.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Science, or a related discipline.
- Over 7 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within a CRO setting across Europe.
- Ability to leverage exceptional customer service and insights to foster long-term client relationships and drive sales performance.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and drug discovery sectors.
- Technical expertise and subject matter proficiency in drug discovery and development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent networking abilities, capable of connecting with individuals from various backgrounds.
- Proficient in utilizing technology as a fundamental aspect of the sales process.
This role offers flexibility in location across Europe, with travel to client sites as necessary.
