Bioimaging Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our team at the DZNE in Bonn. As a key member of our Core Research Facilities and Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting our scientists in their research endeavors.

• Develop and implement image and data analysis solutions for scientists on an individual basis.
• Support and train scientists in the use of image analysis software.
• Identify recurring needs and challenges of scientists and develop solutions that can be established as a general service.
• Stay up-to-date on image and data analysis tools and developments to supply the best possible service and suggest state-of-the-art analysis methods to our scientists.
• Collaborate with our other core research facilities in larger strategic projects.

• Relevant professional experience in data science, statistics, mathematical modelling or similar.
• Ability to combine in-depth image and data analysis skills with scientific information and requirements to provide optimal solutions for different stakeholders.
• Experience in image and data analysis, preferably in a scientific environment, with proven ability to effectively interact with different stakeholders on an interdisciplinary level.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information to stakeholders untrained in data science.
• Experience in computational biology and programming, preferably in Python.
• Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
• Confidence in cluster computing and high-performance computing.
