Overview
Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to be part of the EU Deforestation initiative team. This program is focused on environmental protection, ensuring that manufacturers, producers, and distributors are accountable for their products and packaging throughout the production process. The aim is to mitigate global deforestation and forest degradation caused by consumption and production within the EU.

Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with emerging regulations by:
  • Developing comprehensive project plans and process documentation for new environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Designing and executing innovative change management and communication strategies to facilitate adherence to new regulations.
  • Establishing and managing project success metrics, conducting in-depth analyses of KPIs, and troubleshooting reports from various data sources.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project status, ensuring timely execution of change programs while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Analyzing stakeholder needs across diverse product lines and accurately documenting business requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing standards, policies, and programs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in leveraging technology and applying lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
