In this pivotal role, you will be an integral member of a distinguished team of Systems Test Engineers committed to upholding the safety and quality of our patient monitoring systems. Your efforts will significantly contribute to our mission of enhancing healthcare by delivering high-quality, compliant medical devices. As a member of our global Hardware Test Engineering team in the Hospital Patient Monitoring division, you will report to a subgroup leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the subject matter expert on product safety regulations, particularly IEC and IEC x, ensuring our products consistently meet and surpass the highest compliance benchmarks. Oversee and coordinate intricate system testing initiatives related to product safety, ensuring strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards across various projects. Serve as the primary point of contact with external safety testing organizations, facilitating clear and effective communication during all technical discussions. Create and maintain detailed documentation of testing protocols, outcomes, and compliance records, establishing industry standards for thoroughness and precision. Lead cross-functional teams, embedding product safety considerations into every phase of product development while managing multiple competing priorities.Ideal Candidate Profile:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry, with a strong emphasis on system testing and product safety within the medical device field. Extensive knowledge of product safety standards, particularly IEC, IEC x, IEC/ISO xx, and IEC/ISO xx. Familiarity with relevant regulations (UL, FDA, CSA, IEC, GB, etc.) and applicable standards (General Safety, EMI/EMC, Environmental, etc.). Experience with patient monitoring systems is preferred, along with knowledge of design control processes for medical device development. A systems thinking approach and domain expertise in the relevant area are essential. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with conflicting demands, consistently achieving successful results. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership in project management, with a history of delivering results in a complex and dynamic environment. An international outlook and enthusiasm for collaborating with diverse cultures and backgrounds. Strong organizational skills, being a good team player with the ability to work independently and proactively. Proficiency in the German language at an intermediate level.About Philips
