Your Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage in a cutting-edge project at the intersection of various scientific disciplines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and characterizing novel diagnostic and therapeutic agents, particularly targeting breast cancer.
  • Executing radiolabeling with various emitters and assessing the physicochemical properties of these compounds.
  • Conducting in vitro assessments of newly synthesized radiolabeled substances, either independently or in collaboration with peers.
  • Working closely with biologists to optimize drug leads.
  • Authorship of scientific papers and grant proposals, both independently and in collaboration.
  • Mentoring students and colleagues.
  • Presenting research findings at internal and external scientific gatherings.
Your Qualifications
  • PhD and master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, or pharmaceutical sciences, with a focus on radiochemistry or related fields.
  • Comprehensive expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and drug design, particularly with peptides and small organic molecules.
  • Proficient in analytical techniques such as NMR, MS, HPLC, TLC, and Gamma-spectroscopy.
  • Significant experience in handling radionuclides and radiopharmaceutical synthesis.
  • A strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary settings.
  • Highly motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently while adhering to global GLP standards.
  • A passion for scientific inquiry and a commitment to advancing cancer research.
  • Fluency in scientific English is essential; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Experience with cell culture and biological assays is advantageous but not mandatory.
