Job Title: System Engineer Power Distribution

Volocopter GmbH is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer Power Distribution to join our team. As a System Engineer Power Distribution, you will be responsible for ensuring that the aircraft's high voltage and low voltage power distribution systems and its components meet functional, performance, certification, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other Power Distribution System Engineers to execute tasks pertaining to the development of high voltage and low voltage power distribution components.
  • Author and review internal and supplier's design data, testing, inspection, and analysis documentation that demonstrates compliance to the applicable system, subsystem, and components requirements.
  • Collaborate with certification engineers to ensure that the Power Distribution System design and development activities meet all necessary certification requirements.
  • Review suppliers and partners' technical documentation for compliance demonstration and disposition of non-compliances.
  • Support safety engineers with system understanding for safety assessments.
  • Collaborate with the test and verification team to define test plans and ensure successful validation and verification of the electrical design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in aerospace or equivalent complex systems development industry electrical system components design and system integration within a complex system integration product.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace or equivalent complex systems development industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools and theoretical Systems Engineering elements.
  • Ability to author and review engineering documents.
Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of electrical components for aviation.
  • Solid functional understanding of electrical magnitudes monitoring systems and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of standards related to high voltage and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using engineering tools and software for simulation, analysis, and design.
  • Experience with advanced electrical technologies and emerging trends in the aerospace industry.
