Global Team Sports Product Manager (m/f/d)

The Global Team Sports division is pioneering a digital-first strategy to revolutionize the conventional teamwear industry. By leveraging digital product creation and on-demand manufacturing, we enhance our unique market position through customization, equipping athletes across various genders and sports. We design digital experiences and services tailored to the specific requirements of teams, fostering loyalty among millions of athletes engaged with our brand in team sports. Connecting teams to their uniforms is merely the beginning; we aim to drive growth across categories with products that cater to every athlete's needs.

This role supports the Director of Global Team Sports Product in delivering a comprehensive, world-class product offering and associated market strategy for the team business across global business units and markets. The position will collaborate with global business units to outline the future product range and implement it digitally on the LockerRoom platform. Close collaboration with the creation triad (marketing, design, development), merchandising, configuration vendors, and sourcing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align product customization requirements for uniforms, training, and sideline apparel across markets and global business units.
  • Translate expertise in team customization and personalization to global business units, considering commercial aspects such as pricing, margins, sizes, colors, materials, embellishments, and 3D visualization.
  • Facilitate a cohesive product range and efficient customization offerings across categories for on-field uniforms, sideline, and training in close collaboration with global business units.
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive merchandising strategy for customization across categories.
  • Coordinate seasonal and annual product offering lists and align with customization sourcing counterparts.
  • Ensure complete upstream product readiness for digital launches on the LockerRoom platform.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and benchmark our adidas offerings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding and genuine enthusiasm for team sports.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities, solution-oriented mindset, and results-driven approach.
  • Proven track record of achieving results with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in product management and/or merchandising is essential.
  • Proficient in systems knowledge (M-3, RMA, MicroStrategy, SharePoint, Smartsheet).
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • A university degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in cross-functional marketing, merchandising, and/or sales.
  • Experience in customizable products is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in PC skills, particularly MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
