We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Program Manager to join our team at Amazon TA. As a key member of our Extended Responsibility Compliance team, you will be responsible for planning and executing large-scale global programs that ensure compliance with our business and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Execute complex multi-disciplinary projects across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Identify and lead complex initiatives aimed at growing Amazon GMS and reducing the operational cost of compliance.
- Present strategic roadmaps and project reviews to senior leaders across Amazon.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/businesses by understanding product attributes to drive compliance solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with our legal, business, and technical teams to ensure compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.
A typical day may involve presenting a project update to senior business leaders, driving a review of a separate project with senior managers from different teams to ensure the group made progress toward the next project milestone, and organizing an internal team meeting to brainstorm ways we can accomplish the needs of a business initiative while also ensuring the solution meets its necessary compliance objectives.
About the TeamThe Extended Producer Responsibility team in Amazon assesses environmental compliance requirements worldwide and ensures adherence with post-consumer waste regulations. We drive innovative solutions across Amazon that are simple, efficient, and scalable. We protect the environment through the adequate collection and recycling of waste for our customers.
Requirements- Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience developing and implementing standards, policies, and programs or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent.
- Master's degree or equivalent.
