About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Hyatt Regency Dusseldorf. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the brigade of our exclusive restaurant, DOX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus and recipes that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Ensure the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality in all dishes
  • Manage inventory, storage, and preparation of ingredients and supplies
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with team members to promote growth and development
  • Plan and manage staff schedules and ensure compliance with labor laws
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in our kitchen
  • Organize and lead department meetings to drive collaboration and results
  • Coordinate and execute press events and cooking classes

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-end restaurant
  • Passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients and staying up-to-date with culinary trends
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English is required
