As a Senior Research Scientist in our Computed Tomography division at ImFusion, you will engage in client projects, advance our sophisticated visual computing software framework, and share your expertise with colleagues and clients alike. This role offers the chance to innovate in various medical applications and significantly impact our framework using Python and C++.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Independently designing and implementing intricate scientific algorithms utilizing the latest techniques
- Conducting research for both client and internal initiatives
- Performing code evaluations and software testing
- Participating in the design and review of software architecture
- Engaging with clients and serving as project lead
- Staying informed on current developments in the scientific community
- Alerting management to any security-related discoveries
- Proposing enhancements for both code/software and organizational processes
- Collaborating effectively and respectfully with team members and clients
- Prioritizing tasks within the framework established by project management
- Assisting in the onboarding of new team members
- Authoring scientific papers and reports
- Overseeing the work of research scientists
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in a relevant area
- Proficient programming skills in C++, with experience in libraries such as Eigen being advantageous
- Familiarity with parallel programming for GPUs (e.g., OpenGL and CUDA)
- Understanding of tomographic reconstruction, inverse problems, and optimization techniques
- Capable of conducting applied research autonomously
- A dependable team player and quick learner
- Fluent in English
