Job Summary

The Delinquency Prevention Specialist will work within the Office of Prevention Services in Northwest FL, serving in assigned areas within Northwest Florida. This position will coordinate and communicate with Office of Prevention Services management and stakeholders on concerns related to delinquency prevention, and assist in carrying out duties and responsibilities of other Prevention Services activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Prevention Services to youth and community events, developing and maintaining effective partnerships and affiliations with local community organizations.
  • Educate community stakeholders on delinquency prevention programming, researching and implementing policies and plans, and coordinating community outreach and engagement activities.
  • Perform routine visits to contracted Prevention programs, providing technical assistance as needed to ensure compliance with contracted terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Office of Prevention Services management and stakeholders on concerns related to delinquency prevention, and assist in carrying out duties and responsibilities of other Prevention Services activities.
  • Draft and submit quarterly and monthly reports, evaluating data from outcome measures and requirements, and making recommendations to management.
Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent and five years' related experience are required. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the required experience. A valid driver's license is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of training plan design and development, implementation and facilitation of technical, operational, and/or specialty training events and programs, and skilled in teaching and facilitation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to utilize equipment required for the position, assess training needs and objectives, and design, develop, implement, and evaluate responsive programs and initiatives.
