About the Role

Dow OLEFINVERBUND GmbH operates two synthesis plants at the Leuna site, producing low-density polyethylene (LDPE) through high-pressure processes. In multi-stage processes, ethylene is converted into polyethylene granules, which are stored in silos and mainly supplied to our customers in the packaging and cable industries. For this area, we are currently looking for a process operator:in for the 12-hour shift operation.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for operating the plants, both from the control room and in the outdoor area, together with your team.
• You will support the creation and revision of plant processes and analyze process flows.
• You will take samples and perform melt index measurements in the laboratory.
• You will be involved in the preparation and execution of planned plant shutdowns and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• You hold a completed vocational training in a chemical-technical field: chemical technician, mechatronics technician or electronics technician.
• You have a good understanding of physical-chemical and process-technical relationships and chemical technologies.
• You have gained experience in operating process plants in the chemical industry in shift operation.
• You have knowledge of preventive maintenance.
• You are characterized by team skills and a high service orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ideally, you hold a forklift certificate or are willing to obtain one.
• Knowledge in the area of sampling, simple laboratory work

Additional Notes

• You are open to new tasks and work both independently and in a team with initiative and commitment.
• After the expiration of the fixed-term contract, the possibility of taking over may arise.
• We are happy to support your wish for further qualification as a technician or master craftsman.
