Job Description

FORVIA is establishing a joint operations between Faurecia and HELLA to increase its purchasing power and deliver increased value to our stakeholders. A new common Indirect Purchasing Organization under FORVIA was created to start our transformation journey.

We need to develop solid common joint foundations such as common processes, KPIs, systems, and tools as key enablers. Our Vision is to drive added value and sustainable solutions, offering a world-class procurement experience, and our Mission is to partner with stakeholders to translate needs into competitive market solutions enabled by efficient and compliant processes.

The IT commodity is truly a worldwide commodity with high spend and strong central stakeholders with high level of management attention requiring an experienced purchasing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage global strategies for relevant segments of IT with the target to create long-term partnerships and value creation for all parties.
  • Manage the supplier panel for certain segments as well as prepare, conduct, and finalize global RF-X and negotiations.
  • Support in the creation and negotiation of contracts.
  • Drive the global KPI achievements like savings and cash improvement.
  • Continuously analyze market trends and innovations and derive procurement strategies in close alignment with the relevant key stakeholders to create value.
  • Optimize the Source to Contract as well as Procure to Pay processes with regards to the IT commodity.
  • Drive synergy projects within the context of our FORVIA transformation.
  • Closely collaborate with central stakeholders of the IT department to assess the needs and build up sourcing pipelines to foster value creation.
  • Strongly interact with procurement service functions inside the Global Business Service.

The position is based at FORVIA HELLA in Lippstadt with occasional business trips.

Requirements
  • Minimum Education Level: Higher education degree (bachelors, master, MBA) in Engineering, IT, or Business.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing with IT focus.
    • Ideally in industrial environment.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience in project management and transformation.
  • Skills and competencies:
    • First experience in purchasing ideally in a global company, good financial skills, including data analytics.
    • Business sense / strategic thinking ability.
    • Computer literate and good knowledge of IT systems.
    • Negotiation skills.
    • English fluent, German appreciated.
    • Results-oriented.
    • Experience to work in an international matrixed organization is an advantage.
