About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager to join our fast-growing Simon-Kucher Engine team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for facilitating code reviews, participating in pair programming sessions, and designing system architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate code reviews and participate in pair programming sessions
  • Design system architecture and its components
  • Evaluate technical feasibility and provide high-level and low-level estimations
  • Maintain a clear vision of the team's technical stack and assist in adopting new technologies
  • Conduct R&D and POCs to ensure the team is using the latest effective technologies
  • Ensure engagement, deliver quality work, and promote optimal performance for every team member
  • Measure progress and velocity, manage risks and issues, and develop the team
About You
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills
  • Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles, clean code, and best practices
  • Experience with Cloud Native architectures and technologies
  • Fluent in English (proficiency in additional languages, especially German, is a major advantage)
