Procurement Specialist (m/w/d) in Industrial Automation

We are a leading high-tech engineering company, Manz AG, developing innovative production solutions for lithium-ion batteries and electronic components and devices for our customers in the automotive & e-mobility, electronics, energy, and battery manufacturing sectors. We are passionate about creating a future worth living for ourselves and future generations with our unique technologies. We need you in our team at our location in Reutlingen, where we are looking for a Procurement Specialist (m/w/d) in Industrial Automation to move forward together.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute bid analyses, as well as independently negotiate and conclude contracts for the department.
  • Develop and optimize tender documents in close collaboration with project managers.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, including managing change orders and claims.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve suppliers and procurement strategies (based on regular market analyses, including sourcing activities and benchmarks).
  • Implement a comprehensive forecasting system for suppliers.

Requirements:

  • A completed technical education with good business knowledge or a completed commercial education with a technical focus or a technical or business degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement or project procurement in the machinery and plant construction industry.
  • Basic knowledge of project management and project work.
  • Proficient use of common MS-Office applications; SAP knowledge is desirable.
  • Fluent German and negotiation-secure English skills in writing and speaking.
  • A high level of self-motivation, resilience, and communication skills.
  • A structured and goal-oriented way of working, as well as high negotiation skills with a strong customer orientation.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within and outside Germany.
