Kitchen Assistant

As a key member of our culinary team at Dorint Hotels & Resorts, the Kitchen Assistant (m/w/d) plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This dynamic individual will be responsible for performing daily tasks in all kitchen stations as instructed by the Kitchen Director/Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the dishwashing and pot washing areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Conduct thorough cleaning duties in the kitchen, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
- Properly store incoming goods following HACCP guidelines and kitchen management directives, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Set up the breakfast buffet, presenting a visually appealing display that showcases our culinary expertise.
- Inspect technical equipment for functionality and report any defects, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Use work tools and materials efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing resource allocation.
- Handle cleaning equipment properly, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and our company's sustainability initiatives.
- Adhere to operational and work regulations, maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a kitchen helper or dishwasher is preferred, but not essential.
- A neat appearance and a professional demeanor are essential for this role.
- Reliability, honesty, and resilience are key qualities required for success in this position.
- A minimum age of 18 years is required for this role.
