Java Developer for Business Process Optimization

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to contribute to the enhancement of business processes through innovative optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will engage in the development and implementation of advanced algorithms tailored for the PSI-FLS-AI stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop optimization strategies for Fieldforce and Asset management.
  • Implement sophisticated optimization algorithms utilizing Java within the PSI-FLS-AI framework.
  • Create data visualizations and enhance user experience through effective design.
  • Participate in enterprise software development within an agile team environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in object-oriented programming with a strong command of Java.
  • Experienced in version control systems such as GIT and SVN.
  • Familiar with test automation methodologies, including JUnit tests.
  • Possess analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental algorithms and data structures, including sorting, graphs, hashes, and trees.
  • Degree in a relevant IT field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in Operations Research, Data Science, AI, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques in the material or energy sectors.
  • Experience working in agile project environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins.
  • Additional skills in SQL, cloud platforms, command-line interfaces, UX design, and JavaScript/TypeScript are advantageous.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required, along with any experience in app development.
