Position: IT Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to gather requirements, develop specifications, and implement both on-premises and cloud-based IT solutions.
  • Design and maintain intricate testing and integration environments, collaborating with internal teams and external systems within the media sector.
  • Oversee the commissioning, configuration, and integration of third-party systems using RESTful APIs, including Active Directory and Content Delivery Networks.
  • Provide advanced support for Media Asset Management Systems, addressing issues, applying software updates, and making configuration adjustments.
  • Investigate system errors and customer-reported issues, maintaining comprehensive support documentation and assisting in training operational staff.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project implementation and support methodologies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in the installation and support of Media IT and Media Asset Management Software.
  • In-depth knowledge of technologies, devices, and workflows pertinent to the broadcast and media industry.
  • Proficiency in video and audio codecs and their manipulation.
  • Experience with scripting (JavaScript) or programming languages such as Java, Perl, or C#.
  • Familiarity with Linux server administration, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, search indexing, and database management.
