Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to join our team at AppLike Group. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading our DevOps and Backend Services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products across multiple technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical mentorship to the DevOps and Backend Development team, guiding them on the use of appropriate tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure that the code produced by the team is of high quality, conducting code reviews, writing and enforcing coding standards, and using appropriate testing and validation techniques.
  • Design and architect software and infrastructure that meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as product leads and principal engineers, to ensure that the technical design aligns with product requirements.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, exploring new tools and technologies that could improve the development process, and promoting the use of best practices to achieve technical excellence.
  • Understand the vision of the organization and planned development roadmaps, and put in place a strategy to manage the technical infrastructure and support development efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Completed apprenticeship in computer sciences or university degree in computer sciences, (electrical) engineering, mathematics, or sciences.
  • Strong background in Infrastructure and Software Engineering with over 8 years of experience developing and delivering high-quality software products across multiple technologies.
  • Knowledge of highly-scalable microservice backend developed in Go, outstanding skills to build modern cloud infrastructure like AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, and knowledge of different cloud services, container orchestration platforms, and CI/CD tools.
  • Database skills, including knowledge of different databases and approaches to how they work, such as SQL, Document-based DBs, Distributed Databases, Big Data Analytics Databases, etc.
  • Basic Project Management skills, including aligning people to reach goals, planning, monitoring progress, helping overcome blockers, and managing dependencies.
  • Soft skills, including being a team player, solution-oriented, motivating developers, and giving proper and clear feedback.
  • Mindset, including being goal-driven, following the 80-20 approach, interested in business results, and understanding that tech enables business growth.
