Project Procurement Specialist

Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our supply chain team in Stuttgart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the introduction of new products (NPI) and developing procurement strategies for the development and production phases.

In this role, you will work closely with program managers, engineers, quality and regulatory teams, and other departments to integrate procurement and supply chain considerations into product development. Your influence will be crucial in engaging both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and readiness throughout the new product introduction process.

Your responsibilities will include identifying new suppliers for specific engineering projects, negotiating complex development and commercial supply contracts, and addressing supplier management challenges in technical projects.

You will facilitate communication regarding new technologies and supplier requirements, guiding procurement strategies from prototypes to production and ensuring an efficient production process.

Your contributions will help optimize material costs while considering quality, availability, supply chain risks, total cost of ownership, and overall supplier performance.

Your Profile
  • Completed university degree in industrial engineering, business administration, medical technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a global supply chain organization
  • Familiarity with working in highly regulated environments and applicable regulations
  • Experience in launching new products in the medical technology sector or a similar industry is a plus
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex contractual terms with technology suppliers
  • Independent, structured, and meticulous working style
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset
  • Confident and sociable demeanor
  • Passion for collaborating with cross-functional and international teams on technical projects
  • Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
