Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Research Associate to join our dynamic team at Universitätsmedizin der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research focused on mouse models, contributing to our understanding of immunological processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently conduct research involving mouse models to explore various biological questions.
  • Isolate and analyze proteins along with MHC/peptide complexes derived from different tissues and organs.
  • Execute immunization protocols and related experimental procedures.
  • Perform a range of cellular and molecular biology experiments, alongside detailed analyses.
  • Prepare and contribute to scientific publications, as well as present findings at academic conferences.
Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant research experience.
  • Demonstrated record of high-quality research and publications in reputable journals.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for collaborative work.
  • Ability to work autonomously while remaining adaptable to changing project needs.
  • Interest in mentoring and supervising team members.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
