Position: Business Controller for EssilorLuxottica Germany (f/m/d)
Role Objective:
This position serves as the financial partner to the head of controlling/finance director, providing counsel and influencing operational decision-making for entities within the DACH region. The focus will be on planning, coordinating, and executing daily operations while delivering decision-relevant insights through data-driven analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
General duties include:
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and budget presentations.
- Conducting in-depth analyses for a comprehensive understanding of sales variances. Reviewing sales contracts and challenging customer accounting for bonus accruals and kickbacks.
- Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- As a financial partner, ensuring a high level of service delivery by collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and other departments to identify opportunities and concerns.
- Developing and maintaining reports on key operational and financial performance indicators for informed decision-making, as well as ad-hoc reporting.
- Offering recommendations and guidance on necessary actions to meet financial objectives and drive growth to the head of controlling/finance director.
- Analyzing and presenting monthly results to management.
- Driving continuous improvement and digitalization of processes and analytical tools in collaboration with corporate and shared service centers (SAP, BI, Hyperion).

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Financial Studies or Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Auditing.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance and Accounting roles, with a proven background in financial analysis and accounting. Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, as well as managing multiple entities.
- Expertise in Excel, capable of generating various reports from ERP extractions.
- Proficiency in English and German is essential.
