Position Overview: Construction Trainee at STRABAG
- Over the course of a two-year apprenticeship, you will gain expertise in the construction and enhancement of roadways, pathways, and public squares.
- You will develop proficiency in operating a variety of tools and construction machinery (such as jackhammers, compactors, and surveying instruments).
- Your training will include performing earthmoving tasks with construction equipment and ensuring the safety of excavation sites.
- You will learn the proper handling and application of construction materials (including asphalt, concrete, timber, and steel) and how to interpret construction blueprints and schematics.
- Essential safety protocols and operational procedures will be integral to your training.
- With commitment and enthusiasm, you may progress to a qualified road builder after completing your training.
Candidate Profile
- You possess good manual skills, a keen interest in technical work, and strong spatial awareness.
- A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates who have an affinity for mathematics.
- A genuine interest in the construction sector and a preference for hands-on, outdoor work are essential.
- You enjoy collaborative work and are prepared to contribute actively.
- Reliability and attention to detail are paramount in your approach to tasks.
