Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead our production team at our Gera location. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing a production area with four processing lines and overseeing the production process to ensure optimal productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Leading and developing a team of approximately 20 employees, providing guidance and support in coordinating work schedules and vacation planning.
  • Ensuring the timely and efficient processing of production orders, with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Procuring production-related materials and supplies.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations and identifying and addressing safety hazards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed technical education, followed by further training as an industrial manager or technician.
  • Experience in production, preferably in the steel processing industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of production processes, quality, and costs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP R/3.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities.
