About the Role

As a Senior Consultant at Siemens Energy, you will play a key role in shaping the future of grid studies and network planning. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions for renewable grids and decarbonization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical studies related to grid connection of our products, systems, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to develop new solutions for renewable grids and upcoming decarbonization.
  • Support business units in business development activities by presenting the capabilities of our products and solutions to existing and prospective clients.
  • Coordinate and align engineers from different technical groups and virtual teams within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strengthen and grow contacts to our customers worldwide and manage customer relationships.
  • Integrate power electronic devices, renewable generation, storage devices, etc. into AC grids (conceptual studies, feasibility studies, tender studies, project execution).
  • Coordinate external partners and sub suppliers.

Requirements

  • University degree in electrical power engineering (master or PhD degree) with relevant professional experience.
  • Long-term experience in power system analysis in generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Sophisticated skills in the field of high voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics, renewable generation, power system planning and development, power system transients.
  • Solid knowledge of typical power system simulation programs (PSS/E, PowerFactory, NETOMAC, PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink).
  • Good communication skills in business, fluent in English, German is a plus.
  • Good presentation skills to represent Siemens Energy to our customers, working groups, and conferences.
