Senior Data Scientist for AI Initiatives

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the formulation and execution of a comprehensive vision and strategy for AI initiatives at enercity AG. Your role involves building a high-performing team of data scientists, overseeing their professional development, and ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to achieve excellence and innovate.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and implement opportunities for Machine Learning and Generative AI.
- Ensure the team remains informed about the latest advancements in Data Science and AI.
- Promote a company-wide culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Represent the AI initiatives of enercity AG at industry conferences and in collaborative projects with academic institutions and research organizations.
You should possess a completed Master’s degree or a PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. You have several years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar capacity, including at least two years in a leadership role. You can demonstrate success in developing and implementing value-adding Data Science and Machine Learning projects.
Technical SkillsYour technical expertise includes strong proficiency in Python, R, or Julia, along with solid command of SQL. You have a foundational understanding of Cloud Computing platforms, Big Data technologies, and MLOps practices. Your ability to convey complex analyses through Data Storytelling is exceptional, allowing you to present insights in a clear and persuasive manner.
