Electrical Installation Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join our team at A100 ROW GmbH. As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will be responsible for powering up new racks to increase AWS server and network capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and maintain the highest standards for safety and promote a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.
  • Enable the operations organization to deliver 100% uptime on all customer-supporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.
  • Follow standard operation procedures and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.
  • Prioritize appropriately in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Perform the power-up of all racks and rack-based systems.
  • Prepare, install, and deploy power whips.
  • Perform system walk-throughs to verify proper installation of racks and update related monitoring systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel throughout Frankfurt to cover different locations on a daily basis.
  • Work at heights and from ladders.
  • Perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
  • Work in a noisy environment with ear protection.
  • Wear personal protection equipment (PPE).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completed apprenticeship or equivalent degree in an electrical field.
  • Solid IT skills and knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrate key electrical competencies (practice and theory).
  • Fluency in English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Data Center engineering and job-related experience.
  • Ability to take full ownership of technical issues.
  • Willing to travel between Data Center sites and internationally if required.
