Your Role

In close collaboration with the executive team, operational units, and corporate functions, you will:

  • spearhead strategic initiatives at ZEISS Group
  • serve as the catalyst for project roadmaps aligned with the ZEISS vision
  • assess emerging technological fields in partnership with research & development and operational units
  • scrutinize ZEISS's core capabilities to uncover market opportunities and trends
  • direct pivotal strategic projects and execute essential initiatives to expand, globalize, and digitize our operations, positioning ZEISS as a leader in the global market

Your responsibilities will also encompass the planning, oversight, structuring, and budgeting of projects, along with high-level communication and stakeholder management.

Your Profile

  • A degree with outstanding academic performance in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration. A PhD or MBA is advantageous
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a top-tier management consultancy or in corporate strategy
  • Extensive experience in market and competitive analysis, as well as technology and innovation management
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams laterally and managing complex projects
  • Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and innovative problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for working in agile environments within diverse and interdisciplinary teams, coupled with strong communication skills
  • A keen interest in innovation and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus
