Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PhD candidate to join our team at Universitätsmedizin Mannheim. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting experimental studies in cell biology and metabolism in mouse models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experimental studies to investigate the cellular and systemic basis of metabolic diseases
  • Analyze biochemical, cell biological, and immunofluorescence data from cell and tissue samples
  • Cultivate primary cells to investigate the pathogenesis of metabolic liver diseases and potential intervention strategies
  • Conduct data analysis, graphical documentation, and data interpretation
  • Prepare scientific publications, contribute to conferences, and reports
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Practical experience in laboratory work, including knowledge of lab safety and molecular biology approaches
  • Strong academic track record, including data analysis skills and knowledge in cell biology and metabolism
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Team spirit, reliability, initiative, creativity, and organizational talent
