Nova Biomedical is seeking an Infrastructure IT Systems Administrator to serve as a primary and secondary IT support resource for all users across European subsidiaries, particularly in locations lacking local IT personnel. In this role, you will be tasked with addressing and managing issues related to the local IT infrastructure while ensuring its ongoing maintenance and efficiency. Additionally, you will assist in the development of IT user documentation, procedural guidelines, and operational instructions.
Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Client and Asset Management: Provisioning and managing client hardware, especially laptops (Windows 10/11) and VoIP telephony.
- Mobile Device Management: Configuring and supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android), including provisioning and setup.
- Server and Storage Management: Establishing new physical and virtual servers, along with monitoring, maintaining, and updating server and network infrastructure.
- Problem Management: Conducting remote troubleshooting and ensuring seamless operations in daily business activities as part of first and second-level support, focusing on platforms such as Exchange, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, MS Outlook, LAN/WLAN, VPN clients, and individual workstations.
- Local Firewall Configuration Support: Assisting with configuration requests (understanding and defining needs, communicating with US counterparts), while configuration tasks will be executed by the Senior LAN Supervisor or Senior Manager, Information Technology and Technical Support in the US.
- Administrative Tools Management: Utilizing the Microsoft System Center suite, Microsoft 365, Exchange Server, and network hardware (LAN/WAN) for effective administration.
- Project Assistance: Supporting subsidiaries with initiatives related to the SharePoint Online collaboration platform and associated processes.
- Infrastructure Audits: Aiding in the evaluation of local IT infrastructure across subsidiaries.
- SAP User Support: Providing assistance to users of SAP.
- Digitization Projects: Supporting the implementation of new software across various departments.
- Special IT Projects: Engaging in unique IT projects and fulfilling additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science (IT) with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- At least three years of experience in IT/Network administration, particularly in first and second-line support, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in German and/or French and English (both written and spoken).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Office, especially in conjunction with SharePoint Online.
- Familiarity with information security standards such as ISO 27001.
- Basic understanding of SAP.
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements.
- Strong experience in network administration, EDR software, VPNs, firewalls, and VoIP technologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of wired and wireless networking solutions, including cabling, firewalling, and routing.
- Willingness to travel within Europe for up to 20% of working time.
- Intercultural skills (Europe/USA) are advantageous.
