Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in empowering our organization to make informed decisions by providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales team to understand their needs for data and analytics, and design solutions to address those needs.
- Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance in the sales area.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to ensure transparency on business performance in the sales area.
- Ensure data quality by setting up monitoring, performing regular data quality checks, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
- Analyze and interpret data to provide digestible and actionable insights to inform decisions in the sales team.
- Collaborate with the Data Platform team to shape the central Data Platform according to the needs of sales analytics.
- Provide training and support to the sales organization on data tools and techniques to enhance their data literacy.
Requirements
- University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience with data analytics and at least 1 year of experience with data analytics in a retail company.
- Understanding of the retail industry, including brick-and-mortar and online/omnichannel channels.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Experience with designing and implementing KPIs and metrics in a retail context.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, with experience with Databricks or dbt a plus.
- Experience with building dashboards in Power BI or other Business Intelligence and Visualization tools.
- Experience with Python for data analysis a plus.
- Experience with web analytics a plus.
- Great communication skills, with fluency in English and German.
- Highly structured way of thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to articulate complex data and analytics content to a non-technical audience.
- Inherent curiosity to understand processes and underlying reasons, seeking to uncover insights and ask probing questions.
- Ability to work autonomously, managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery on commitments.
