Position Overview

Damen Naval is at the forefront of designing and constructing sophisticated naval vessels for clients globally. As an HR Advisor within our organization, you will be instrumental in providing support and counsel to departmental leaders on a variety of human resources issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer guidance and assistance to managers regarding human resources matters aimed at employee retention, including career advancement and training initiatives.
  • Formulate and execute HR policies that adhere to German regulations while aligning with existing organizational policies.
  • Ensure that HR operations comply with both national and international labor laws, as well as data protection regulations.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
  • Assist in the relocation process for Damen Naval expatriates moving to Germany.
  • Supervise HR administration and manage the specific portfolio related to temporary staff, ensuring compliance with German laws and regulations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date HR database that accurately reflects current employee details for necessary reporting.
Qualifications and Skills

To thrive as an HR Advisor, candidates should possess the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of German labor laws and other HR-related legislation.
  • Experience in a complex technical project environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both English and German, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent references, as a standard pre-employment security screening is part of the recruitment process.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are mandatory; candidates with only an NL/EU work visa or dual nationality may not be eligible due to the military nature of our projects.
