Warehouse Operations Manager

Objective: To oversee and guide logistical functions within the APS-2 program, ensuring efficient management of inventory and government assets. This role emphasizes asset visibility by unit and type, data integration, and coordination with the 405th AFSBn-Germany Accountable Officer to maintain equipment readiness for unit re-issue.
Reporting Positions: This role supervises Supply Supervisors, Logistics Management Analysts, Accountability Analysts, Supply Technician Leads, Supply Technicians, Warehouse Workers, Laborers, Movement Control Drivers, Material Coordinator - Truck Driver ADR Leads, Production Control Clerks, and General Reports Clerks.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to effectively manage the following duties:
- Generate comprehensive reports utilizing the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A).
- Conduct research within GCSS-A, manage receipt processing, inventory adjustments, and equipment receipts from the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), while creating Material Release Orders (MROs).
- Analyze data to provide actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and metrics, completing all tasks to the required standard.
- Manage resources effectively to achieve mission objectives.
- Uphold strict adherence to technical data and management protocols.
- Initiate management actions to adapt to new workloads or rectify identified deficiencies.
- Process Inventory Adjustment Reports (IARs) accurately for review and approval.
- Draft and comprehend both External and Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Guarantee complete accountability of all assigned APS-2 equipment, ensuring accurate reflection in the Logistics Information System (LIS).
- Conduct item research in GCSS-A and other LIS, including addressing frustrated items.
- Rectify paperwork errors and relevant LIS data, promptly reporting issues to the Supply Manager.
- Ensure all personnel are knowledgeable of and adhere to Company and Government policies and procedures.
- Engage professionally with senior management in decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with supply personnel to fulfill all required tasks.
- Provide timely and accurate information to the Supply Manager and/or Government personnel as necessary.
- Develop and maintain departmental metrics that accurately reflect performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience: Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity, with a strong understanding of military regulations and procedures.
- Prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Ability to provide reports, resolve issues, and recommend service delivery improvements.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are essential.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for conducting meetings, evaluating plans, and preparing reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Formal training in GCSS-A certification and/or equivalent military AIT/industry training.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must meet all base access security requirements and maintain LIS access requirements.
- U.S. Citizenship is necessary for facility credentials/authorization.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
Specialized Skills:
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, operations, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work efficiently up to a 48-hour work week, including potential overtime.
- Willingness to deploy on missions at short notice as directed.
