Logistics Specialist

At BASF SE, we are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Transport Classification to join our Global Business Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing holistic solutions for our customers from an end-to-end perspective, taking into account dependencies and important interfaces between different functions.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and optimize dangerous goods applications in the Global Master System.
- Maintain all data relevant to dangerous goods in the global master data system, including evaluations and adjustments.
- Develop system solutions for SAP S/4 HANA as part of projects.
- Provide global communication and consulting services, including analysis and interpretation of international dangerous goods regulations and implementation in the master data systems.
- Maintain and further develop dangerous goods checks in the OTC and TM process in the BASF SAP landscape, dangerous goods information in logistics processes for logistics service providers, and dangerous goods-relevant information in safety data sheets.
- Participate in projects in the SAP S/4 HANA environment and coordinate projects for the implementation of complex legal requirements.
- Degree in natural sciences or relevant experience in the field of supply chain operations with reference to dangerous goods logistics.
- Experience in the design and development of IT solutions and confident handling of SAP applications.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods, regulation/compliance, and OTC, TM, and P2P is desirable.
- Several years of professional and project experience is an advantage.
- Confident communication in an international environment.
