Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded AI Engineer/Architect to join our team in Munich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for championing the identification and creation of Embedded-AI use-cases, working with domain experts to distill use-cases, and expressing them in data/modules/processes of vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Embedded AI use-case design, architecture, deployment, and validation by bringing deep knowledge of embedded SoC/accelerators and corresponding toolchains.
- Drive productization of Embedded AI use-cases.
- Enhance vehicle systems engineering by automating processes related to Embedded AI.
- Leverage research and engineering expertise in Europe for advanced study of embedded software systems.
- Drive and make professional decisions within the team as well as cross-teams work.
- Relevant technologies: Embedded SoC, AI model architectures, data acquisition, on-edge data processing, in-cloud data processing, training; Inference on embedded devices, model optimization for embedded devices.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant engineering field required.
- Deep knowledge of statistics, data analysis, Embedded AI hardware and frameworks, data preparation/processing.
- Knowledge of CPU/SoC architectures with ML/AI accelerators, performance, and optimization criteria.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ language, Python/scripting, and toolchains (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, TinyML).
- Hands-on experience with AI use-case development and deploying in cloud, consumer, or embedded domains.
- Strong systems thinker with deep understanding of real-time systems, automotive systems, and connection with top research groups on AI topics is a plus.
- Ability to think from a top-down design perspective to drive the overall architecture and use AI to bridge different domains.
- Open-mindedness, creative thinking, willingness to take calculated risks, and make informed decisions, strong communication skills.
