Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany, including all Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, as well as EXTERNAL Local National Applicants residing in Germany.
The role serves as the Supply Chief for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), responsible for planning and prioritizing work assignments based on complexity and employee capabilities. Responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing the Supply Branch, which encompasses purchasing, warehouse management, material coordination, and local Self Help shop operations.
2. Evaluating employee performance and providing guidance, counseling, or instructions on work and administrative matters.
3. Conducting interviews for job candidates and recommending hiring, promotions, or reassignments.
4. Addressing and resolving employee complaints, escalating serious issues to higher management as necessary.
5. Implementing minor disciplinary actions and recommending further actions in more serious cases.
6. Identifying training and development needs, providing on-the-job training, or arranging for necessary training.
7. Seeking improvements in production efficiency and quality, while establishing performance standards and expectations.
8. Communicating relevant administrative information to subordinates and ensuring compliance.
Education & Training Levels:
C-06:
- E&T Level I: 2 years of relevant experience plus 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Current employees lacking E&T Level I must have an additional 2 years of relevant experience.
E&T Level II: 1 year of relevant experience plus 3 years of experience in a related field.
E&T Level III: 2 years of relevant experience in a related field.
E&T Level IV: 1 year of relevant experience in a related field.
E&T Level V: No additional experience required.
Current employees with one year in a similar role qualify for the next higher grade.
Experience A: General clerical work, including computer use, bookkeeping, inventory management, and event organization.
Experience B: Relevant experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• A valid driver's license class B is required, and the ability to obtain/maintain a military driver's license is essential.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
English Level B2 and German Level C1 are required.

• The designated duty station is currently in Ansbach, with potential reassignment within the same agency and commuting area.
