Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at ib vogt, a leading developer of turnkey PV plants and battery storage projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to decarbonize the global electricity sector.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret site survey reports to ensure accurate data for structural analysis
- Coordinate with external structural companies and engineers to ensure seamless project execution
- Act as a single point of contact for direct interface with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare and communicate scope of work for external structural companies and engineers
- Develop in-house drawings and technical specifications for structural components
- Evaluate proposals from external structural companies and engineers during the tender phase
- Perform preliminary structural analysis for feasibility studies on special constructions and substructures
- Evaluate and optimize substructure designs received from external companies
- Evaluate and optimize determination of embedding pile length
- Compare and assess different methods and testing procedures for soil testing
- Dimension reinforced concrete foundations to ensure structural integrity
- Assess load assumptions and combinations for specific locations
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering
- Experience in the Solar PV industry and substructure is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Solar PV substructure types, including fixed, tracker, agri-PV, and floating systems
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, and structural analysis software (Dlubal RFEM, CYPE 3D, SAP 2000, etc.)
- Steel design experience, preferably with cold-formed steels
- Reinforced concrete design experience for shallow, mat, and strip foundations under transformer and substation
- Familiarity with international design codes, especially Eurocode
- Knowledge of pull-out tests
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment
