Your Role: Legal Associate - Energy Sector

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Legal Associate to join our dynamic legal team in Cottbus. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your legal expertise to a wide range of complex and challenging issues within the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the planning and approval of new energy and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and permits.
  • Assist in the application process for environmental and mining law permits, conducting thorough legal research and drafting compelling applications.
  • Provide expert advice on a variety of energy law matters, including renewable energy development, grid integration, and energy trading.
  • Draft and review contractual documents related to corporate transactions, real estate acquisitions, and other business agreements.
  • Independently handle legal issues arising from the operation of our facilities, including civil, criminal, and public law matters.
  • Participate in court proceedings, agency meetings, and negotiation discussions as required.

Your Profile:

  • Demonstrated interest in the energy sector and LEAG's business activities.
  • Successful completion of your first state examination in law with a strong academic record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills.
