Job Description
As a (Senior) Project & Procurement Manager - Direct Material, you will be part of our dynamic and motivated Procurement Team. Your mission is to support, manage, and consult departments in the entire purchasing process for aerospace parts, taking into account applicable purchasing processes and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and evaluate suppliers, as well as strategic development and consolidation of a supplier pool.
- Prepare and conduct negotiations within a complex scope of work, involving relevant departments and legal if necessary.
- Prepare contracts, purchase orders, and closings using existing purchasing systems.
- Ensure timely awards in compliance with strategic business objectives.
- Develop cost-effective standard designs and smart quality control concepts.
- Optimize purchasing processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in direct procurement or supply chain management, ideally from the aviation or automotive industry.
- Academic background in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering or a completed apprenticeship in this area.
- Experience from commodities like modules/systems, electronic instruments, batteries, motors, cables, harnesses, standard and norm parts, buy- and COTS parts, consumables.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and effectively with engineering and production teams.
- Good command of MS-Office and preferably MS Dynamics 365 Business Central - Navision ERP.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, as well as German.
- Will to travel from time to time.
