In your capacity as a Security Software Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal contact point within a newly established specialist team dedicated to the "Health" sector, focusing on security matters. You will engage in exciting projects with prominent clients in the healthcare industry, applying and enhancing your knowledge. At adesso, you will participate in targeted training initiatives that will enrich and complete your security skill set.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, preventing, and rectifying vulnerabilities in code, design, and architecture
  • Conducting threat and security assessments
  • Performing static and dynamic security evaluations (e.g., code scans, fuzz testing, penetration testing)
  • Implementing a secure development process within project teams as a hands-on developer
  • Acting as the primary contact for security-related topics in the healthcare domain
  • Providing training on relevant subjects to project and development teams, as well as clients
  • Developing processes for the secure handling of highly sensitive and confidential data

YOUR SKILLS - WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Advanced experience in IT and/or application security
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, particularly in Java (Spring-Boot), frontend technologies (such as Angular), and Python
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel for project-related purposes and excellent proficiency in the German language
  • Security certifications are advantageous
