We are seeking a seasoned web developer to join our team as a senior frontend web application developer. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality software components that comprise our enterprise application.
Your primary focus will be on extending a novel framework for image visualization and manipulation with our own image analysis AI algorithms, which will have a significant impact on the lives of thousands of patients and healthcare workers worldwide.
This is a full-time remote position with 40 working hours per week, offering a unique opportunity to work on a challenging project with a talented team.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze complex requirements and break them down into manageable units of work, estimating the level of effort required to implement them.
- Design and implement software components, evaluating and integrating 3rd party libraries and frameworks to increase robustness and reduce development time.
- Develop and maintain web applications using React or Angular, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure code.
- Collaborate with senior team members to define and adhere to best-practices related to architecture, security, testing, and coding standards.
- Ensure software meets all quality, security, scalability, and performance requirements through adequate testing and metrics, and continuous improvement of our CI-CD pipeline.
- Mentor and guide team members on best practices and framework-specific development.
- Degree or certification in Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in developing web-based applications.
- 1+ years of professional experience in software development using JavaScript/Typescript and NodeJS.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end.
- Strong understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of both React and Angular.
- Experience in evaluating technical trade-offs and making informed decisions.
- Fluency in English and/or German language with residence in Germany.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development using React, Angular, NodeJS, and common RDBMS such as PostgreSQL.
- 1+ years of experience developing software products in a Research & Development department of a software company.
- Interest or experience with browser-based visualization of medical images and related frameworks like Cornerstone and the DICOM standard.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade software in regulated environments, like life-sciences.
- Familiarity with healthcare informatics and related standards, like HL7 or FHIR.
