Expert Coating Solutions Developer for Hydrogen

Job Summary

Oerlikon is seeking a highly skilled Coating Solutions Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge Hydrogen solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance a portfolio of innovative Hydrogen coating solutions aligned with the company's strategy and vision.
  • Establish and update a roadmap for Hydrogen coating solutions to address market gaps and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients and R&D teams to specify and create innovative coating solutions for electrochemical applications.
  • Provide and create marketing materials, such as data sheets, solution flyers, and website content, to promote Hydrogen coating solutions.
  • Assist in customer projects and provide technical support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify, assess, and manage various coating technologies, including company-owned and competitor technologies, for electrochemical applications.
  • Understand the operation and features of coating equipment, including company-owned and third-party equipment, for applying coatings to electrochemical subassemblies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in material science or coating technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in material science or physics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial coating technologies.
  • Experience in the field of electrolyzers and fuel cells is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, conductivity, and insulation properties.
  • Proficient in project and product management.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%).
