Position Overview:
Hochschule Augsburg is seeking a dedicated and innovative Research Assistant (f/m/d) / PhD Student for a full-time, fixed-term position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of responsibilities within a dynamic data science team focused on pioneering data-driven advancements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the domain of Machine Learning & Generative AI.
- Publish findings in prestigious scientific journals and conferences.
- Assist faculty in establishing and maintaining both software and hardware systems, including local and cloud-based solutions.
- Contribute to the scientific and organizational framework of the Data Science degree program.
- Support professors in the planning and execution of courses and assessments.
- Independently lead practical exercises.
Your Qualifications:
- A completed master’s degree in a relevant field such as data science, mathematics, robotics, physics, statistics, or computer science.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning principles.
- Proficient in statistics and programming, particularly in Python.
- Experience with IT systems, including both software and hardware.
- A high level of personal initiative and accountability.
- Proficient in German.
