Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our IONITY Operations team in Northern Germany & Denmark. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our High Power Charging Stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to minimize system downtime and ensure optimal performance of our HPC stations.
  • Conduct onsite root cause analysis, service, repair, and maintenance actions to resolve technical issues.
  • Order and handle spare parts for our HPC stations, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
  • Debug systems and perform remote diagnostics on field failures by reviewing logged data.
  • Support the development of processes, documentation, and diagnostic knowledge for standard service actions.
  • Identify trends and patterns in field failures and provide feedback to the central team to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operation teams to ensure new issues are fully investigated and countermeasures are in place.
Requirements
  • Professional certified electrician (low voltage up to 1000VAC/1500VDC) required, additional certifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety are welcome.
  • Approximately 2-3 years of professional experience as a Field Service Technician, ideally with similar technical equipment.
  • Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice, and work extended trips, with a get-it-done mentality.
  • Availability for off-hours calls and work.
  • Technical degree in Electrics or equivalent.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with external service providers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German, with additional European languages a plus.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently, with strong organization and documentation skills.
  • Exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous activities and challenges.
  • Skilled with common workplace and database software (MS Office).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Ability and understanding of using basic electrical measuring devices (multimeter/isolation tester, RCD test device).
