About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Group Accountant to join our team at ib vogt, a leading renewable energy company. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing quarterly consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly consolidated financial statements, including consolidation in LucaNet.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required.
  • Accounting Leadership: Assume responsibility for all accounting-related topics of domestic and international subsidiaries.
  • Review and Approval: Perform quarterly reviews of submitted reporting packages on domestic and international subsidiaries, ensuring uniform accounting and valuation throughout the group.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare notes to the consolidated financial statements and management report.
  • Internal Liaison: Act as the contact person for group accounting-related topics for internal departments, accounting service providers, and auditors.
  • Process Improvement: Manage projects for group-wide standardization and harmonization of group accounting processes as well as development and implementation of new processes in group accounting.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in business administration, accounting, economics, MBA, or industrial engineering with a focus on (group) accounting, financial reporting, finance, or auditing.
  • Experience: Multiple years of sound professional experience in group accounting, reporting, and consolidation of an internationally oriented company and/or in an auditing firm.
  • Technical Skills: Key technical accounting skills according to HGB and/or IFRS.
  • Soft Skills: Strong professional commitment, communication, and teaming skills. Confidence in dealing with numbers, enjoyment working in a dynamic and international environment. Robust problem-solving and organizational skills. Analytical, independent, reliable, result-oriented, and diligent.
  • Language Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel). Practical experience with LucaNet or other consolidation software. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
