Job Title: Software Validation Engineer

LG Electronics Vehicle component Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Software Validation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Telematics project, you will be responsible for testing, tracing, and validating software and hardware components.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and validate software and hardware components to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Review and analyze validation results to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to clarify major issues and initiate follow-up initiatives.
  • Handle test environment issues, including software updates and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Execute, evaluate, and document online remote update (ORU) tests, field tests, and in-vehicle tests.
  • Flash software on different ECUs and maintain test benches with the latest software.
  • Set up online test benches and conduct troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Analyze issues, create tickets, and drive them to resolution with verification of bug fixes.
Your Expertise:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Test Engineering of automotive electronics, with a focus on In-Vehicle testing or Field testing.
  • Experience in Telematics projects is a must.
  • Good understanding of software structure, including operating systems such as Linux, Android, QNX, or Autosar, and process structure, IPC, and communication protocols.
  • Deep understanding of in-vehicle network technologies, such as CAN, Ethernet, and UDS.
  • Good understanding of Automotive Connectivity Projects, including C2X, Online services, and Ecall.
  • Ability to distinguish between necessary and unnecessary documentation and information from OEMs.
  • Vision to implement agile methodology and improve processes using tools and ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.
