About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated service technician to join our team in Hamburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs of marine safety equipment and systems, including lifeboats and davits, fixed fire fighting systems, portable safety equipment, and calibration of gas detectors and instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of marine safety equipment and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on the safety systems on board, utilizing advanced tools and technologies.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to solve complex technical problems and ensure seamless operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding maintenance and repair work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our services remain cutting-edge.
Requirements
- A technical degree or certification in the marine industry, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in marine safety equipment and systems maintenance and repair is required.
- A good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel to various work sites are required.
- Willingness to travel within Europe is essential.
