Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Security Engineer to oversee, construct, and uphold our security infrastructure and protocols across our SaaS environment. In this role, you will collaborate with a distributed team to safeguard our systems and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive security initiatives to improve the security framework of our infrastructure and organization.
- Identify, respond to, and mitigate security threats.
- Develop, assess, and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Manage the organization-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) system.
- Establish and maintain monitoring systems.
- Set up and manage incident response and forensic tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or substantial professional experience in security.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in security engineering and incident management.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools.
- Experience with security measures for cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of identity and access management principles.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and software deployment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and resourcefully.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC2 or ISO 27000 series.
- Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Go or Python.
- Relevant certifications in penetration testing, incident response, or digital forensics (e.g., OSCP, GCIH, GCFA).
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
