Quality Assurance Specialist Opportunity at WASGAU Produktions & Handels AG

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at WASGAU Produktions & Handels AG, a leading food retail and production company. Our company operates two production facilities in the meat and bakery sectors, supplying a wide range of food products to our 73 supermarkets and six Cash and Carry stores.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards, including hygiene checks, quality record checks, and finished product inspections
  • Develop and implement quality assurance documentation and procedures
  • Inspect and maintain testing equipment, ensuring calibration and validation
  • Supervise operational hygiene practices and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate and conduct sample collections and implement IFS requirements
  • Participate in specialized projects and contribute to the development of quality management systems
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of a food-related apprenticeship (journeyman, specialist, technician) or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in quality management and/or the meat industry is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in common MS-Office programs and ability to learn new computer applications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a self-reliant and quick-learning approach
