About the Role

As the Head of R&D Biometry, you will be responsible for implementing development projects for the entire product family, contributing significantly to the company's success.

You will:

  • Be responsible for a multidisciplinary development team
  • Ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective product development from the technology phase to handover to lifecycle management
  • Be responsible for portfolio management and strategy development within your program
  • Initiate and implement initiatives to improve development efficiency
  • Ensure technical and organizational integration of the product into the cataract workflow
  • Be in close exchange with internal and external stakeholders

About You

You have:

  • A successful completion of a natural or engineering science degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the field of medical technology
  • A passion for leading, developing, and coaching people
  • Personal strengths in systems engineering and development methodology
  • Comprehensive technology expertise in the areas of optics, optical measurement technology, mechanics, electronics, and software
  • A strong customer orientation
  • Excellent application knowledge in the field of cataract surgery or the willingness and ability to quickly acquire it
  • An analytical working style and a strong sense of quality
  • The ability to assert yourself and excellent communication skills
  • Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
  • A willingness to travel occasionally
